Beatnix Open Mic * Every 2nd & 4th Thursday
This open mic is a throwback to the 1960’s coffee house . All forms of performance welcome...poetry, songs, monologues, dance, comedy, music, science experiments. As long is it fits into the 4ft X 4ft space available on the stage (thanks COVID-19) you have 4 minutes (or less) to do what you want. No applause allowed—only yips & snaps! Free Coffee and cookies! Patrons 21+ welcome to bring beer/wine.
Attendees should be 16 or older as we do not censor the performers so there may be adult language and themes.
SADLY: The stage has steps and therefore is NOT wheelchair accessible for performers at this time. Once all the COVID restrictions are lifted we will be able to accommodate and apologize for the exclusion. Audience seating is still wheelchair accessible.
Door opens and sign up available at 7:30. Show at 7:45. Note: Once show starts at 7:45 there is no late entry allowed. If you purchase your ticket in advance you are guaranteed a performance spot as long as you arrive by 7:40.
Table for 1 is $8.00, Table for 2 is $12, Table for 3 is $15
Due to COVID-19 restrictions seating is limited. Advance purchase suggested or cash/venmo at door.
Dangerous Theatre COVID-19 Safety Measures:
- Temperature of all patrons taken at the door
- All patrons must wear mask except while performing, eating or drinking
- Hand sanitizer is available to all patrons
- All parties seated 6ft apart
- Audience is seated 25ft from performers
- All seating is disinfected before and after every show
- Bathrooms and other surfaces are disinfected before and after every show
- After every show we run UVC lights and use a huge vent fan to bring in fresh air
